Proclinical are working alongside a medical technology and devices establishment who are currently recruiting for an Abstract Specialist, Clinical Oncology Nurse. This role is on a permanent basis. The client is focused on learning from people who suffer from cancer to improve and extend people's lives.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will assist with data quality and control actions, which involves clarifying direction, correcting errors and enhancing instructions.
Responsible for assisting quality assurance on dataset deliverables.
For this role, you will cooperate with a cross-functional team which involves technical such as software engineers, business, data privacy experts, quantitative scientists, and any other clinical professionals.
Support in the development of data capture forms, instructions and data analysis across various haemato-oncology therapeutic areas and tumor types.
You will provide assistance with viability and initial testing of innovative data points or new abstraction approaches.
Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Skills & Requirements:

Experience with all aspects of how cancer is handles and the treatment pathways, from diagnosis until cessation of treatment, and fluent in cancer vocabulary.
Professional practical experience operating in oncology.
Familiar with data entry and highly comfortable with technology.
Acquaintance with electronic health record systems, electronic data capture forms or any other data management systems.
Past involvement on how clinical data is presented across the UK, such as comprehension of ICD codes, cancer registry data, cancer results and services dataset proposal, etc.
Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
A high attention to detail.
Capable of working within a fast-past work setting.
A flexible, ambiguous person.
Fluency in the English language.
Knowledge with medical vocabulary.
