Proclinical is seeking a Medical Advisor for an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients with cancer. Reporting to the Medical Director UKINOR, the Medical Advisor will work closely with the Medical Director and serve as a primary medical resource capable of preparing high level scientific and strategic materials across multiple products and diseases for use with external thought leaders as well as internal company customers.

The MA is mainly responsible for preparing medical education materials, ensuring compliance is maintained across the cluster, including responsibility for disclosure activities and supporting brand execution. The MA will also engage in appropriate non-biased scientific exchange and provide scientific support to healthcare professionals on behalf of the company and its Medical Affairs in their geographic region. The MA has a deep understanding of the scientific trends within the care environment and utilizes this to generate and adapt relevant information for the field-based teams as well as initiate new educational activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Editing/reviewing abstracts, manuscripts, Standard Response Letters, promotional materials, slide decks for internal and external use
  • Takes a key role in ensuring compliance is maintained across the cluster, including reviewing and updating processes, ensuring training for cross-functional teams and being responsible for disclosure of payments
  • Attends & participates in medical/scientific meetings & conferences for the purpose of maintaining clinical/scientific expertise & providing strategic insights into emerging scientific data & healthcare trends
  • Supports Market Access activities by providing scientific expertise for various stakeholders
  • Contributes to efforts across Medical Affairs to keep abreast of latest scientific, disease state, and healthcare landscape information and uses this information to provide value to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Contributes to or leads Medical Affairs projects at cluster or regional level.
  • Executes scientific support for commercial functions of the organization including scientific support required for material development and promotional activities
  • Effectively communicates by expressing ideas and information clearly and accurately

  • Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience in related areas (Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Pharmacology)
  • Minimum 2 years as a Medical Scientific Liaison or Scientific Advisor, ideally in Oncology
  • Experience leading projects and interacting with cross-functional teams is needed
  • Good practice of English
  • Advanced, doctoral level degree: MD, PharmD or PhD
  • Good skills and experience with scientific data/literature review required
  • Excellent skills in presenting/publishing scientific data
  • Experience in health economics and outcomes research with customers is desirable
  • Experience working with healthcare systems, payers is desirable
  • Experience using computer programs including Microsoft office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
