Proclinical is working with a privately-owned biotechnology that is seeking a Systems Analyst to be based in the UK on a permanent contract.

The Systems Analyst is a member of the company's Information Systems (IS) EU team and is primarily focused on partnering with the company's business groups to assess, manage and deliver Information Systems projects and initiatives. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our global applications and cloud systems, and for taking ownership of business requests through to resolution and root cause analysis.

Your role includes project management and systems support duties, with a strong focus on forming a partnership with other areas of the business. You will be expected to identify opportunities to deliver improvements in technology and processes, and to translate these into project plans with clear deliverables and timelines.

This position is based in Cambridge, UK and reports to the Information Systems Lead, Europe.

Job Responsibilties:

  • Form strong working relationships with other departments, as a business partner. Represent the IS department by providing the best technology, expertise and support to the rest of the business.
  • Support the company's global staff by taking ownership of business requests through to completion, documenting resolution steps, identifying root or recurring causes and escalating to senior management or staff when required.
  • Collect and gather feedback from IS teams and business stakeholders for improvements or enhancements to existing business solutions. Apply business analysis and project management methodologies when implementing projects and improvements in alignment with the business processes and needs.
  • Partner with other disciplines on the IS team to analyse, design, build and scale reliable applications and systems using industry standard tools.
  • Drive automation of applications and systems infrastructure to improve reliability and reduce the time to deliver new technologies.
  • Integrate with IS Development and Applications teams to provide support across environments.
  • Work with business departments to proactively plan and perform regular scheduled maintenance, including updating documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • As a global company, working outside of normal business hours may be periodically required.
