ProClinical is advertising a vacancy for a Solution Engineer vacancy with an international scientific information company that specialises in repurposing existing technology and advancing research. This exciting organisation is seeking for an exceptional individual to join their team in Germany.

The Solution Engineer will be responsible for the design, sale, and documentation of customised solutions for high potential opportunities and strategic accounts, along with the growth of services and customised solution business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the bridge between the product, tech, and sales departments to create solutions that are achievable and profitable.
  • Working with Customer Success and New Account Sales teams to conceptualise, design, sell, and assist with implementation of customised solutions.
  • Creating business cases to showcase the value of customised solutions over standard solutions.
  • Working with the Director of Solution Engineering to help design new solutions that are scalable and addressing common problems across markets or industries.
  • Ensuring designed solutions meet business, technical, and functional requirements from clients.
  • Booking designed/customised solutions for client bases, prospects, and new market targets.
  • Creating business, functional, and technical requirements to deliver these solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Executing on the processes and behaviours that will result in the sales of these new services.
  • Digesting and absorbing all training materials that facilitate the execution of solution designing sessions.
  • Staying well versed in new and emerging technologies to develop new ways to solve client challenges.
  • Working with sales personnel to effectively identify opportunities for customised solutions and introduce the sales engineer in specific sales campaigns.
  • Participating on an as-needed basis on deal desk calls with strategic account and field sales teams to strategize on the optimal strategy to sell new services within our top accounts.
  • Ensuring that closed won deals are being successfully implemented within the clients, as designed, and assisting with any modifications that may be needed to ensure success.
  • Creating business cases that demonstrate value to the Customer, showing the feasibility of the solution, including timelines.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry-related fields, or equivalent experience with chemical applications.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a global capacity across multiple theatres and cultures.
  • At least 10 years of Solution engineering or product development and design experience.
  • Proven ability to conceptualise customised solutions and selling these solutions to clients.
  • Demonstrable experience with science related solutions and/or information/intellectual property.
  • Capable communicating with executives and driving alignment on common objectives.
  • A proven ability to work with field sales representatives and sales management.
