Software Lead

Proclinical is currently seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer for a digital health company located in Berkeley, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a key player in architectural decisions across the stack.
• Be comfortable working as an individual contractor as well as tech lead.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers as well as product, clinical and software teams at the company.
• Coach and mentor fellow engineers.
• Report to the CTO and help set the direction for the web development team.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years as a software engineer.
• 3+ years of experience as a tech lead and ideally also as a manager.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Angular or React, and AWS.
• Proficient with JS, Ruby, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience with designing APIs.
• An in-depth understanding of common design patterns and anti-patterns.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with security and data protection.
• Experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps, CI/CD.
• Good understanding of HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with recruiting and growing a team.
