Proclinical is seeking a Social Researcher Analyst for a client, a public body, to be based in London on a contract basis. This role is situated in a new Data Requirement Conversion team within the Enterprise Performance Framework Project, which will translate high-level information requests from stakeholders into detailed data requirements and specifications that can be implemented by service developers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build understanding of the Enterprise Performance Framework and information requirements.
  • Support existing work to gather and prioritise information requirements across HMCTS as necessary, liaising with business owners, analysts in MOJ and HMCTS, and external academics/researchers.
  • Lead on engaging with those requesting information to understand their needs and ensure the information will meet them, suggest collection methods, and be the main point of contact.
  • Engage with service owners, business analysts and other Subject Matter Experts to gain an understanding of the existing data and opportunities for collecting data provided by source systems.
  • Build understanding of the data architecture of the source systems to identify opportunities and challenges relating to the capture of data.
  • Build understanding of potential methods for collecting data, and the pros and cons of different approaches.
  • Provide feedback to the requirements processes about alternative options for meeting the need.
  • Work with the user experience team to gain insight into user behaviour, to help understand and mitigate the impact of data collection on user experience.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders about how the data should be used, including any caveats/limitations, supporting the production of data dictionaries as required.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have experience working in BI / MI / analytics environment - understanding links between broad KPI-type requirements down to data specification.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be open and approachable, and be able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must have experience of data collection methods, including surveying and sampling techniques, and be able to demonstrate the benefits and drawbacks of approaches in a practical context.
  • Must have experience of evaluation approaches and outcomes measurement.
  • Must have experience of analysis and presenting data (including statistical modelling and trend identification)
  • Must be able to produce high quality documentation that illuminate complex information for a general audience.
