A leading CRO is seeking a Senior SIA Team Manager (EMEA) to join their team in Cambridge, UK on a contract basis.
- Responsible for the leadership and management of site activation deliverables within a region or globally, within the assigned projects or programs.
- Directs the technical and operational aspects of the site activation portion of the assigned projects, including coordination of feasibility, site contracts, and country teams in a matrix environment.
- Responsible for managing the assigned scope of work to timelines, costs, and quality.
- Collaborates with major functional area leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues pertaining to successful site activation, interpret data on complex issues, make good business decisions and ensure solutions are implemented.
- Responsible for ensuring that all project deliverables meet the customer's expectations and the contracted deliverables, providing accurate projections, reports and updates, and ongoing risk assessments.
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships with customers in alignment with their assigned projects.
- Ensures that individual project targets are met, clients are satisfied, services are provided with the highest quality standards and policies and procedures are followed.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or similar discipline and 12+ years related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training & experience).
- Demonstrates significant depth of knowledge/ experience of clinical drug development and trial process, attained within the pharmaceutical industry and/or CRO, globally and/or within complex programs.
- Prior experience in of managing/leading large or global teams, including functional managers, directly or within a matrix environment.
- Effectively manages and leads teams.
- Consistently demonstrates and conveys knowledge of the key principles of cross-functional project management through mentoring and training of junior staff.
- Consistently identify and manage risks related to contractual deliverables and provide and implement effective solutions.
- Consistently demonstrates experience with leading, liaising and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
- Consistently demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge/understanding of clinical development guidelines and Directives.
