An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Government Affairs Manager Oncology at one of the leading biopharmaceutical companies in the UK at their office in Maidenhead. Job Responsibilities:
- Focus on the development of oncology policy, stakeholder management and reputation enhancement to positively impact patient care.
- Build and sustain the company's reputation with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Manage and conduct this alongside GA and other functional colleagues with clear points of internal communication for maximum impact.
- Provide insight and expertise regarding the political and oncology healthcare environment and the opportunities for engagement that can be leveraged.
- Anticipate and identify trends in a fast-moving healthcare space and communicate their implications.
- Ensure that the company actively contributes to key initiatives identified as a priority, for example the Cancer Drugs Fund and the development of cancer strategies in England and the devolved nations.
- Lead, build and execute the company's GA plans for oncology brands ensuring above brand advocacy is aligned with the company's therapeutic area focus.
- Ensure such plans are agile and quickly adaptable given the rapidly changing nature of innovation in this healthcare area.
- Successfully work in a matrix operational structure, manage against budgets, organise and build consensus on GA activities
- Manage external agencies to support key GA programmes
- Ensure policy programmes are cascaded down to field based and medical teams, and other relevant functions, to maximise opportunities.
