Senior Director, MSLs (Field Based)

Proclinical, in support of our client, are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Director of Medical Science Liaisons, based remotely in the USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the US Field Medical Affairs organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the US Medical Science Liaisons organization, including the creation of processes, standards, and policies.
• Implement field strategy and priorities in alignment with overall the Medical Affairs plan.
• Oversee the development of the MSL onboarding and training curriculum and materials.
• Collaborate with other functions on decisions regarding technology and analytics systems.
• Develop and track key performance indicators. Provide reports of MSL activities to senior leadership.
• Provide input into Key Opinion Leader targets, MSL field source sizing, and territory maps.
• Leverage professional experience and network to hire an amazing MSL team
• Provide leadership and mentoring to retain and develop top talent
• Evaluate, approve, and direct all MSL activities.
• Develop a strategic, comprehensive, national and regional congress plan.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure a seamless and compliant relationship that maximizes the safe and appropriate use of therapies among KOLs and community HCPs.
• Collaborate with the leadership of the Precision Medicine Liaison team to ensure alignment on high-level strategic objectives and share ideas as well as resources.
• Provide scientific guidance and participate in Medical Affairs activities.
• Ensure internal stakeholders are knowledgeable of key opinion leader views and opinions.
• Coordinate need for medical/scientific knowledge required for management and support of products in development.

Skills And Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical/Science degree and 7+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Oncology-specific experience and MSL leadership experience required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (outstanding presentational skills required).
• Strong organizational skills and business planning.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Ensure compliance with corporate rules and government regulations.
• Up to 50% travel required.
