Proclinical are recruiting for a Senior Consultant/Consultant to work at a leading multinational contract research organisation in London. This is an excellent company to work for, whose clients include many of the world's leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies and they employ over 15,000 personnel in over 50 countries.

A Senior Consultant must have a comprehensive understanding of the Pricing and Market Access consulting methodologies to be able to competently advise and drive the delivery of projects whilst offering technical expertise to the junior team members. A Senior Consultant provides a wide range of consulting services and works within broad project guidelines to identify, refine and address client issues and to achieve project objectives with little support from Senior Management. The Senior Consultant ensures a timely performance of work within a project scope to the high quality expectations of the company as well as the client. A Senior Consultant is expected to anticipate future client needs and is able to qualify opportunities from current projects, for future projects with existing clients and other client decision makers.

Job Responsibitlies:

  • To successfully contribute towards the global P&MA consulting business via the successful management of evidence-based and strategic projects in line with proposed deliverables and client expectations.
  • Successfully manage projects, primarily, pricing / costing projects, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and value communication (GVDs / AMCP dossiers) projects.
  • To utilize previous industry insight, practice and expertise in the development of project scopes, plans and deliverables gaining the confidence of both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • To manage new and existing client relationships effectively, maximizing all revenue opportunities.
  • To provide support to the senior management team in the development of strategic recommendations tailored to individual projects and practice initiatives that will drive the development of the P&MA team.
  • To effectively line manage Senior Associates and Associates according to the company's appraisal system and score card.
  • To effectively project manage teams within the company ensuring deliverables are delivered to a high quality and within the agreed timeline.
  • To provide on the job training and technical guidance to junior members of the project team.
  • To assist clients with the development of product value propositions, investigations and market understanding related to views and opinions of payers, health policy makers and price sensitive customers.
  • Feed ideas for, and support, process improvement into the P&MA team.
  • Foster business development and contribute to the development of proposals for new projects.
  • Continue to build a network of industry colleagues through relationships formed during project engagements, other industry experience, and new business opportunities.
  • Lead project scoping calls with the Customer Strategy team as well as proposal preparation providing technical input
  • Actively drive the completion of EPA practice initiatives, with the support of the Manager in EPA
  • Meets established metrics as specified in scorecard on an annual basis
  • The metrics of all line reports are met as specified in the scorecard on an annual basis
  • Completes basic job related responsibilities, including timesheets, expense reports, maintenance of CVs, project deliverable archiving, participation in internal initiatives/projects or as a mentor as requested by management
  • Defines self-development activities in order to keep current within the industry (i.e. maintain membership in a relevant industry and/or scientific/technical association)
  • May participates in thought leadership activities both within the company and to industry groups and conferences

Skills and Requirements:

  • 6+ years of market access experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • 3+ years project management experience in pricing & market access and/or HTA and value communication projects
  • Business development experience e.g. writing proposals, attending client pitch meetings/TCs, scoping discussions with clients
  • Experience in financial management of projects
  • Team management/mentoring
  • Proficient to intermediate level in Microsoft software, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline, Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • Prince II qualification is desirable
  • At least fluent vocal and written English
  • Addition language skills are desirable
  • 20% travel is expected for the Senior Consultant role
