Here is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding global biopharmaceutical company, who is dedicated to being leaders in innovative medicines and vaccines. The company is seeking a Senior Brand and Customer Manager to join their team in Hertford.
Job Responsibilities:
- The position is a dedicated resource in the Oncology CBL and will report directly to the Franchise Manager (Women's Cancers). The Private Market SBCM will have a critical role in working across both the UK Oncology BU. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute a strategy for our Oncology portfolio in the UK Private Oncology Market.
- The Private Market SBCM will deliver business objectives through the development of clear and actionable strategy that creates competitive advantage and drives rapid uptake of the products in the Oncology CBL outside of the NHS setting.
- The role will require close collaboration with the respective indication leads for Keytruda, and other in-line brands, the National Sales Manager and the National Commissioning Manager and as appropriate colleagues in the company, to develop and implement the company's Oncology Strategy for the private market in the UK.
- Operating in full compliance with internal processes, SOPs and the Code of Practice
- Development and delivery of KPIs in collaboration with the Indication Leads & company's Franchise Leadership. Track, monitor and take required action to ensure the delivery of the metrics
- A comprehensive understanding of product strategies, brands, markets and customers that will create competitive advantage and enable the effective translation of global strategy to champion a UK strategy that will deliver success outside the NHS setting.
- Lead across the matrix to develop and deliver a short-term strategy considering Insurers & Providers. Taking a long-term perspective of how we might develop novel funding routes, both of which will maximise access and uptake of the Oncology portfolio through the UK Private Market.
- In collaboration with cross functional stakeholders (including the company as appropriate), develop and gain local approval for a UK strategic plan. With robust consideration of innovative strategic options, customer and account targeting, clear positioning, consideration of segments specific messaging and optimal channel promotion to supplement promotion and non-promotional field activities.
- Working with the UK Oncology Analyst ensure the delivery of accurate in year, medium and long-term sales and stock forecasts in the private market.
- Execute the in-year strategy, managing the promotional spend collaborating with indication leads to effectively prioritise activities to deliver sales and spend to budget.
- Collate robust customer insight to inform and direct strategic decision making and effective lifecycle management decisions across the products of the Oncology CBL
Skills and Requirements:
- A track record of developing and implementing successful strategies
- Working knowledge of the Merck Marketing processes or a similar process
- Project/operational matrix working preferably across company partnerships
- Business analytics & Insight generation
- A working knowledge of the NHS and UK Private Market pharmaceutical supply chain
- Experience from working in Oncology is preferable but not essential in this role
- Demonstrates ability to develop mutually sustainable strategies and implement to various customer segments simultaneously
- Uses in-depth knowledge of marketing strategies to set short and long-term strategy at a local and influences at a regional level.
- Differentiates between strategic marketing and tactical execution to ensure that strategy drives tactics
- Uses in-depth knowledge of all the brands within the Franchise to lead the strategic planning process in the private market
- Uses In depth knowledge of dynamics and basic understanding of the broader market trends to create future opportunities
