This Scientist job is an exciting opportunity to join one of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies in their QA team. This leading Swiss pharmaceutical company are currently looking to hire a Scientist to be based at their site in Basel. The company employ over 100,000 professionals and have operations in more than 140 countries worldwide.

We are looking for a motivated scientist to perform, review and approve physical/chemical experiments for Quality Control of development biotech drug substances (DS) and drug products (DP) in collaboration with members of the own and cross-functional teams in a cGMP environment.

Job Responsibilties:

• Performing and documenting of physical/chemical experiments (including pH, HPLC or CE, UV) in a cGMP environment.
• Review and approve raw data, interpretation of results.
• Address simple problem. Recognize and communicate complex problems. Inform and support on deviations and unexpected results.
• Maintain stock of consumables and samples.
• Archive batch records.

Skills and Requirements:

• Good knowledge of cGMP, minimum of 2 years GMP lab experience.
• Good organization and good communication is a must.
• Good technical knowledge in analytical separation.
• Good knowledge of laboratory and/or technical tools.
• Adequate knowledge of software and computer tools.
• Good understanding of English (oral and written) is essential. Basic German understanding.
• Master of Science with 1 year of relevant experience
• Bachelor of Science with 3 years relevant experience
• Apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education) with 6 years relevant experience in industry or equivalent
