This Scientist - Cellular & Gene Therapy job is an exciting opportunity to join one of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies in their R&D team. This leading Swiss pharmaceutical company are currently looking to hire a Scientist - Cellular & Gene Therapy to be based at their site in Basel. The company employ over 100,000 professionals and have operations in more than 140 countries worldwide.

Job Responsibilities:

As part of a bioanalytical group within biologics technical development, you will be responsible for the for the analysis and characterization of cell and gene therapy products in early phase clinical development.
Your main task will be the independent development and execution of methods for the determination of biological activity (potency) and purity, as well as data evaluation and documentation. This involves various cell culture methods and read out technologies (e.g. virus titration assays, qPCR, FACS, other cell-based assays, ELISA). A strong molecular biology profile is a plus. You will also be in charge of the technical organization of a laboratory, reporting to the laboratory head.

Skills and Requirements:

University degree, apprenticeship or equivalent in biology/biochemistry with a strong background in cell biology.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with virus titration assays, qPCR, FACS, cell-based assays and/or immunological assays. Experience in working with BL-2 products is desirable.
NO PhDs.
Good knowledge of English is required; German is desirable.
