A well-known global pharmaceutical company with leading products across various therapeutic areas is looking to hire a Scientific Project Manager. Based in Cambridge, this vacancy is an exciting opportunity to work at a top global pharmaceutical company that has a workforce of more than 6,700 employees across multiple sites in the UK.
The Project Manager will lead projects from initiation to implementation and take responsibility for both people and budget. They will shape solutions and ensure that business requirements are effectively captured, whilst maintaining a good knowledge of different supplier solutions that could support projects. The Project Manager will also assume responsibility for risk management, benefits & value management, and escalating or resolving identified risks and issues. They will help ensure that project teams adopt quality and compliance standards, policies, and procedures, whilst supporting project assurance activities. They will support the activities of the EDA Enterprise Data Governance Board (EDGB) whilst gathering, analysing, summarising, and reporting on data governance metrics as defined by the ESGB. Maintaining documentation of data governance policies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Being accountable for the delivery of projects/programmes on time and on budget for the Product Data Entity Project and the EDA Data Governance Project.
- Supporting the Project Lead with project strategy and design.
- Agreeing project plans including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities, and quality assurance.
- Following project work plans and recommending revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project.
- Managing relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure business requirements are effectively captured and committed to project objectives
- Ensuring that impact and changes resulting from projects/programmes are effectively communicated to the business.
- Building and leading project teams and reference groups communicating roles and responsibilities whilst encouraging teamwork and collaboration amongst the team and business stakeholders
- Effectively applying company methodology and enforces project standards.
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Building project/programme improvement plans and ensuring that project teams provide input.
- Resolving quality and compliance risks and issues and escalating to Project Lead.
- Supporting EDA Enterprise Data Governance Board (EDGB).
- Supporting Data Governance SME with gathering policies, procedures, rules, and metrics from business areas.
- Gathering analyses on, summarising, and reporting on data governance metrics as defined by EDGB; creating and maintaining Data Governance Dashboard.
- Maintaining data governance documentation.
- Preparing and/or editing meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, and tables; planning and co-ordinating meetings.
- Maintaining Glossary of terms policies.
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in good data governance and management practice, relevant data Life Science domain experience, and relevant domain business processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legal data/information policies and standards throughout the data lifecycle.
- Knowledge of data governance software tools and experience developing business requirements budgets.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
