Proclinical is working with a leading global genomics service company that is seeking a Sales Representative to be based in Cambridge or Oxford on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual sales goals within defined territory through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of customer accounts
- Develop and implement an effective territory business growth plan
- Grow revenue and expand territory into new accounts by organizing and following up on leads, cold calling, meeting with customers and prospects on a regular basis, writing quotes and price lists, and negotiating contracts
- Work closely with business leaders and customer interface teams to manage relationships with customers and retain current business baseline revenue
- Work with marketing to create a marketing plan for the territory
- Registering/planning/attending local vendor shows
- Creating and executing email campaigns
- Create a training program to master required skills, duties and job responsibilities
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or Life Sciences preferred)
- 3+ years of related experience (direct Biotech sales highly preferred)
- Background in molecular biology preferred
- Proven track record of selling into Academic Accounts, Research Institutions and Biotech Companies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal are essential
- Willing and able to travel overnight as required (more than 50%)
- Valid driving license
