A clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company is seeking to recruit a QC Scientist to their office in the UK. The organisation develops next generation, programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer and pride themselves on their broad suite of proprietary and modular T cell programming technologies. This position presents a fantastic opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic scientist to join an innovative company that is committed to delivering high quality products for use in clinical trial programmes.

Job Responsibilities:

Qualify methods and processes to ensure their suitability for use in support of Clinical Trial Manufacturing.
Support Clinical Trial manufacturing through provision of QC testing.
Design and execute supporting QC stability programmes.
Develop QC assays suitable for product release or characterisation.
Author development reports and regulatory documentation.
Assist in technology transfer into the Product Delivery group.
Work with external QC service providers.
Supervise staff or students as necessary.
Select and purchase appropriate QC laboratory equipment.
Assist in Equipment Qualification.
Any other duties as required following consultation with the post holder.
Adhering to all health and safety guidance.

Skills and Requirements:

Higher degree in Biology/Biomedical Science/Immunology/Haematology/Pharmacology or
related discipline.
8 years' experience in a GMP field.
Directly relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
Experience of working in a busy laboratory environment is desirable, although full training
will be provided.
Understanding of and familiarity with quality and regulatory guidance governing
biopharmaceutical development.
Familiarity with a range of biopharmaceutical and cell-based techniques.
Good understanding of cell biology and immunology.
Experience of working in a busy laboratory environment.
Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
