Our client is a global, full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) providing clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. The company is seeking a QA Manager to join their team in London, UK.
Job Role:
- To manage QA aspects of projects, functional areas, or business segments, developing and maintaining applicable regulatory training materials and corresponding competency tests and study guides.
- Plan and create the annual audit schedule in conjunction with Department Director; as well as proposing and developing specifications for new projects and working directly with the client as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify areas of QA risk and provide input on an effective QA oversight plan to mitigate the identified risk
- Proactively identify and resolve non-compliance issues within company's lines of business
- Independently coordinate conduction of all types of audits and ensure completion of QA department responsibilities identified by SOPs;
- Build strong relationships, effectively delegate tasks, and obtain results through others
- Create and revise departmental SOPs and guidelines.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences
- Previous experience in a QA role within a CRO or pharmaceutical setting
- Ability to manage a risk-based approach to the planning and scheduling of all audit types on a company-wide basis
- Previous experience overseeing and managing auditor capacity planning and audit reporting
- Line management experience
