Proclinical is partnering with one of the world's leading workforce management solutions companies to advertise a vacancy for a Publication Coordinator. This organisation, which prides itself on its specialisation in multiple scientific and engineering sectors, is seeking for an applicant to join their team in Philadelphia.

The Publication Coordinator will collaborate with Medical Writing and Communications team, Scientific Communications Leads, Directors, partners, stakeholders, and vendors as appropriate to plan and develop desired metrics and displays of these metrics, as well as maintain on an ongoing basis. They will also assist with electronic submissions of abstracts, posters, oral presentation, and manuscripts, or in the quality review of manuscript galley proofs or other documents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning and developing desired metrics, displaying these metrics for all publications, and maintaining and tracking them on an ongoing basis.
  • Acting as subject matter expert for metrics/reporting and associated systems. Logging, answering questions/inquiries and/or triage as appropriate.
  • Assisting with electronic submissions of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Assisting in the quality review of manuscript galley proofs.
  • Submitting documents through document management system.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of document templates, style guides, electronic document management and publication system, and SOPs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of relevant publication guides, including, but not limited to, the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), Good Publication Practices (GPP), Consort Guidelines, the American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style, the Council of Biology Editors, etc.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Prepared to work hard to meet ambitious deadlines and exceed clients' expectations
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
