Product Engineer

A global biotechnology company is advertising an exciting new job opportunity for a Product Engineer to join their office in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative company that operates across 160 countries. This is a contract position, lasting 12 months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems.
• Overseeing device specification and yielding problems.
• Overseeing minor redesign of devices and masks.
• Performing analysis of customer returns and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.
• Assuming responsibility for device after transfer into high volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication.
• Assisting customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices.
• Delivering and/or managing projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• Acting as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.
• Delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies.

Skills and Requirements:

• Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Requires a University Degree and minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
