Process Engineer

Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Human Factors Engineer for a global medical device company headquartered in Northern Illinois. This is a 12 month contract opportunity with a high likelihood of extension and the opportunity to convert into a permanent role. The rate for this position is $65 - $95 per hour dependent on experience.

The Human Factors Engineer will join a fast-paced and innovative Research and Development team focused on the conception, creation and development of drug delivery combination products. In fact, 95% of the workload will be centered on green field, from scratch, new product development. The successful candidate will work with the core team to: understand, create and document the User FMEA; create and edit the Instruction for Use (IFU) document; lead and validate the human interaction with every aspect of the device including labelling and design; create Human Factors studies with a third party provider; and ensure that Human Factors risks are documented and mitigated.

Candidate for this role are required to have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelors in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical
• 2+ years experience in Human Factors Engineering
• Medical Device Experience
• Design Controls and Risk Management
• Hazard Analysis
• User FMEA
• Design and Execution of Human Factors Studies (Formative, Summative, Validation)
