Principal Translational Scientist

Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Principal Translational Scientist position with a prestigious scientific study organisation. The company, which is dedicated to providing diagnoses and treatments in the field of oncology, is seeking for the Principal Translational Scientist to join their team in London.

The Principal Translational Scientist will join the team in their Centre for Drug Development and drive the design and delivery of pre-clinical studies in support of regulatory applications to move novel drug candidates into first-in-human clinical trials.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing expert pre-clinical, translational, and regulatory advice to internal teams and external clinicians, scientists, and academics.
• Managing and working in partnerships with CROs to design and deliver non-clinical safety studies.
• Working closely with clinical investigators to provide advice and input into the design of first-in-human clinical trials.
• Writing and providing input to regulatory documents.
• Contributing to the evolution of the Centre for Drug Development's overarching strategy and strategic focus of the translational sciences team.

Skills and Requirements:

• Extensive experience with design and delivering pre-clinical efficacy and non-clinical safety studies.
• Experience of outsourcing studies to CROs.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines for first-in-human clinical trial applications for novel therapeutics.
• A track record of contributing to the preparation of pharmacology/toxicology data for incorporation in Investigational Medicinal Product Dossiers.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
