A leading pharmaceutical client is searching for a Market Research & Forecasting Manager to join their team in Hertfordshire. The company specialises in various therapy areas including oncology, neurology and gastroenterology, and employs several thousand across the globe. Supporting the Oncology Business Group (OBG) providing the EMEA region with Market Analysis and Insights including expert Market Research. The Market Research & Forecasting Manager will provide expert market research input to the Global ATU from the EMEA Region for all Oncology products and indications
Job Responsibilities:
- Monthly Report/ KPI development and generation
- Market/ commercial assessments and forecasts for in-line and new products, indications and formulations
- Handle all Demand Chain sales Forecast submissions and communication around this within OBG
- Competitive intelligence
- Expert analysis into Oncology markets and commercial operations
- Expert input into brand planning process for EMEA
- Determine best practice during product launches and ensure its implementation in other countries
- Liaise with global and regional colleagues, particularly with respect to EMEA components of market research projects.
- Handle all Demand Chain Sales Forecast submissions and communication around this within OBG
- Develop market research plans for the Oncology therapy area working with the Global team
- To manage primary and secondary market research projects for the EMEA Oncology therapy areas within budget if required
- To provide expert guidance in international (global) market research projects
- Ensure accurate budgeting of agency costs with business unit members
- To provide competitive intelligence for the Oncology therapy areas turning it into insightful data
- Expert analysis into Oncology markets and commercial operations
- Expert knowledge of market environments, including but not limited to demographics, healthcare systems, pricing and reimbursement and optimal launch activities
- Report/ KPI development and generation
- To regularly update EMEA Affiliates with market data
- Provide support in creation of presentation materials
- Provide support to the EMEA Oncology Business Group Brand Planning process
- Management of third-party data providers (e.g. IPSOS/ IMS)
- Any other tasks required regarding Commercial Analytics or within Commercial Intelligence, OBG
Skills and Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, preferably in Life Science
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A second language would be preferable but not essential (French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish)
- Sound understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in the Business Intelligence field at affiliate level and ideally internationally
- Knowledge of Oncology areas
- Experience in business/ brand planning
- Forecasting in EMEA markets
- Experienced in project specification and project management via third parties, e.g. external agencies running qualitative and quantative research projects
- Knowledge of EMEA markets and market access
- Expert level in Excel, and sufficient knowledge in any databases such as IMS, Decision Resources, Global Data, IPSOS etc. in various countries or in EMEA
- High degree of initiative with a sense of urgency
