Manufacturing Engineer

A globally renowned pharmaceutical company is seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to their office in Switzerland. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious and historic pharmaceutical establishment and provide real regulatory expertise.

Job Responsibilities

• Qualify new tooling, equipment and processes (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Apply project management skills to ensure that tasks are appropriately defined, planned and documented to ensure on-time completion
• Assist in the development and implementation of various intraocular lens manufacturing processes and manufacturing systems to improve productivity and product quality
• Assess processes for their adequacy of methods, equipment and documentation
• Develop manufacturing controls and documentation
• Apply statistical and analytical methods such as SPC, R&R Gage and DOE
• Establish test methods, make observations and measurements, interpret data and write technical reports
• Train technicians and operators as necessary for protocols and procedures

Skills and Requirements

• Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
• At least five years of industry experience, preferably in the medical device field
• Strong analytical skills
• Fluent in English + German and/or French; both oral and written
• Professional IT Skills (MS Office etc.)
• Motivated to work in an international and fast paced environment
