Laboratory Technician, Environmental Monitoring

At Proclinical, we are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to fill the role of Laboratory Technician, Environmental Monitoring, based in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing sampling and testing in support of manufacturing and validation activities, and will perform assays and maintain batch records according to and in compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct critical review of environmental results and reports data to appropriate internal staff members.
• Submit Document Change Requests (DCRs) and write SOPs.
• Order laboratory supplies when needed.
• Collect water and clean steam samples.
• Test compressed gases for bio-burden, non-viable particles, water vapor and hydrocarbons.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) of media and reagents.
• Perform environmental monitoring.
• Assist with the purchase and qualification of laboratory equipment.
• Conduct assays and lab procedures according to and in compliance with cGMPs, CFR and SOPs.
• Perform assays using appropriate laboratory techniques for lab group assigned to.
• Perform laboratory maintenance and routine equipment monitoring and cleaning and keep records according to internal and external guidelines and standards.
• Prepares reagents and completes reagent batch records.
• Check reagents for expired chemicals and dispose of any expired reagents.

Skills And Qualifications

• BA in biology or microbiology and 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of microbiology, proteins and experience working with large molecules in the laboratory preferred.
• Proficiency in multiple microbiological laboratory skills.
