At Proclinical, we are seeking an individual to fill the role of Laboratory Operations Associate, based in Cambridge, MA. The successful individual will provide operational support to the Research Department labs, encompassing both chemistry and biology expertise areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventories and ensure laboratory supplies are ordered, restocked, and available as needed.
- Communicate with end users, providing daily updates on the availability of laboratory consumables and status of equipment repairs.
- Coordinate laboratory equipment repairs with internal and external resources; perform routine maintenance on basic equipment.
- Assist laboratory end users during scheduled lab and cold storage clean-outs and ensure basic housekeeping and organization in the lab spaces.
- Identify inefficiencies or opportunities for process improvement in the lab environment.
- Ensure a safe working environment by identifying, reporting, and eliminating potential workplace hazards.
- Perform routine lab safety inspections and walkthroughs and participate in monthly safety committees.
Skills And Qualifications
- BA in a relevant discipline or High School degree plus 2-5 years of experience.
- Experience with procurement systems, especially purchase order requisitions and various catalog formats.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
