Laboratory Manager (HCPC registered)

Proclinical is working with a privately-owned biotechnology company headquartered in the US, who develop proteomics technology that makes protein measurement an easier process. The have recently expanded the business and are setting up a facility in Oxford.

They are currently seeking a Biomedical Scientist (HCPC Registered) to act as a hands-on Clinical Laboratory Manager to manage our U.K. laboratory.

The primary role of this position is to manage the laboratory and process samples using the company's proteomics assay. The assay is a semi-automated assay that measures protein levels in clinical samples.

Your typical day will be divided between performing daily routine sample testing, performing study design, assay paperwork review, overall laboratory operations and supervising laboratory personnel.

As part of the role you will be working closely with local and US counterparts in a fast-paced, team-oriented department where good communication skills are essential.

In addition, for the initial training period of about 2 weeks, you might be required to travel to the US facility.
