At Proclinical, we are seeking an individual to fill the role of Lab tech, Environmental Monitoring, based in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing sampling and testing in support of manufacturing and validation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Review environmental results and reports data to appropriate internal staff members.
  • Submit Document Change Requests (DCRs) and write SOPs.
  • Assist with the purchase and qualification of laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Collect water and clean steam samples.
  • Test compressed gases for bio-burden, non-viable particles, water vapor and hydrocarbons.
  • Perform Quality Control (QC) of media and reagents.
  • Meets timeliness and goals established with lab customers.
  • Maintain the priority of delivering bioburden data on schedule.
  • Accurately complete batch records and other required documentation according to and in compliance with cGMPs, CFR and SOPs.
  • Report observations of ongoing tests to Quality Assurance (QA) and Management.
  • Perform routine laboratory and equipment monitoring and cleaning and keep records thereof.
  • Prepare reagents and completes reagent batch records.
  • Check reagents for expired chemicals and disposes of any expired reagents.

Skills And Qualifications

  • BA within biology or microbiology and 1+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of microbiology, proteins and experience working with large molecules in the laboratory is preferred.
  • Proficiency with multiple microbiological laboratory skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and microbiological method required.
  • Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate laboratory equipment, as well as computer equipment and software.
  • Accurately and reproducibly perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
