A leading global pharmaceutical company is advertising a vacancy for an Immunologist, starting in July 2019. The organization specialises across multiple therapy areas, including developing products that include treatments for diabetes, cancer, and asthma. The Immunologist will provide extensive hands-on experience in mammalian and primary T cell culture, cell-based assays, and multi-color flow cytometry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently designing and executing a variety of assays to understand the mechanism of action of compounds and characterize different biologics.
  • Interfacing with project teams to meet timelines for project progression.
  • Presenting research findings clearly and effectively at internal meetings.

Skills and Requirements:

  • MS/PhD in Biochemistry/Cell Biology/Immunology with Post-Doc experience or 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent, in early stage pharmaceutical drug discovery
  • Self-motivated, collaborative with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Skilled in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture with best practices in tissue culture is required
  • Hands on experience with automated platforms (preferred)
  • Hands on experience with multi-color flow cytometry (required)
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
