Head of Operations

A leading Biotech have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Operations to join their team in Switzerland. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for the performance of a new, state of the art manufacturing facility whilst ensuring that site activities are being executed to the highest quality standards.

Job responsibilities:

• Leading the production unit as well as relevant cross functional teams.
• Responsible for integrating the new plant into the company's larger manufacturing network.
• Accountable for the preparation of risk analysis and all relevant procedures and ensuring training of staff.
• Responsibility for the planning & supervision of production activities.
• Responsible for developing continuous improvement programs.
• Developing department targets and strategy and prioritize with respect to the company's overall goals
• Responsible for preparing the units' annual budgets.
• Ensuring proper execution of team training and development
• Representing the facility during regulatory inspections and customer audits
• Acts as the main interface between Manufacturing, Technical Services & Support, Engineering, QA and QC.

Skills and Requirements

• Master's degree, PhD is an advantage, in Biotechnology or related discipline
• Previous experience in leading positions within a Biopharmaceutical environment
• Green or Black Belt Certification (preferred)
• Biologics manufacturing experience
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
