A leading Biotech have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Operations to join their team in Switzerland. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for the performance of a new, state of the art manufacturing facility whilst ensuring that site activities are being executed to the highest quality standards.
Job responsibilities:
- Leading the production unit as well as relevant cross functional teams.
- Responsible for integrating the new plant into the company's larger manufacturing network.
- Accountable for the preparation of risk analysis and all relevant procedures and ensuring training of staff.
- Responsibility for the planning & supervision of production activities.
- Responsible for developing continuous improvement programs.
- Developing department targets and strategy and prioritize with respect to the company's overall goals
- Responsible for preparing the units' annual budgets.
- Ensuring proper execution of team training and development
- Representing the facility during regulatory inspections and customer audits
- Acts as the main interface between Manufacturing, Technical Services & Support, Engineering, QA and QC.
Skills and Requirements
- Master's degree, PhD is an advantage, in Biotechnology or related discipline
- Previous experience in leading positions within a Biopharmaceutical environment
- Green or Black Belt Certification (preferred)
- Biologics manufacturing experience
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
