Proclinical is seeking a Head of Forecasting for a major international company providing outstanding market intelligence services for the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Financial and Consulting sectors. This role will be situated in London on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilties:
- Collaborate with Investment Committee members to design the product development roadmap in alignment with short-term commercial milestones and the company's longer-term vision
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from key internal and external stakeholders and promote best practices to collect customer insights and identify unmet needs
- Provide recommendations to the Investment Committee on product development priorities to pursue to in order to meet the company's financial and strategic objectives
- Coordinate with Corporate Development to originate new inorganic opportunities and secure data sources
- Own budget cycle for Product Development and provide input into analyst team budget
- Sign-off methodologies on PF development and identify/prioritise areas to revamp methodologies related to consensus forecast and other company product suites
- Strengthen collaboration with commercial functions:
- With Sales and Client Success to support product demos, fast track the penetration of new offerings and provide timely response to methodology-related questions which have not been captured in any FAQ or objection handling documents
- With Custom Services to support services assignments that require specific subject matter expertise around forecasting/valuation or any of the critical inputs for which the company is developing a new suite of subscription products
- With Product Management to define the optimal business model and go-to-market strategy for new products
- With Product Management & Marketing to define white space in markets
- Contribute to key thought leadership initiatives and publications in coordination with Head of Custom Services - Forecast Advisory Board, World Preview, dedicated thought leadership analysis designed to promote new and existing contents
- Monitor sales and expenditures related to the Proprietary Forecasting development and all new areas of product investment
- Promote an effective team culture that delivers on product development initiatives
- In collaboration with Head of Operations, continuously identify areas to further develop the capabilities of the Analyst team with the aim to ensure high-quality and efficient execution of all PF initiatives
- Promote innovation best practices and capabilities throughout the organisation around new product development, business model design and customer journey analysis
Skills and Requirements:
- University Degree Level or above
- We welcome candidates for this role with experience in one or more of the following activities: pharmaceutical financial analysis within the pharmaceutical industry, consulting or other service provider to the pharma/ biotech industry; equity analysis of the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry.
- Other suitable candidates would be those with experience in pharmaceutical financial analysis within the pharmaceutical industry, consulting or other service provider to the pharma/ biotech industry
- Strong financial modelling skills and a proven ability to create credible product and company forecasts on pharmaceutical/ biotech companies
- Ability to understand and analyse company results
- Understanding of and ability to apply patient-based drug forecasting, financial account modelling and valuations techniques (e.g. NPV)
- Ability to analyse macro/ micro trends impacting Pharma/ Biotech sector and translate into data offerings
- Ability to analyse and present data from various sources to which may impact drug product forecast
- Client facing experience to identify, explore client needs
- Excellent written and presentation skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of this company's service
- ACA, CIMA or CFA
- Pragmatic Marketing training / certificate
- Friendly approach to business and build trust within team and company.
- Ability to mentor and coach team, be a company role model in terms of conduct and culture.
- Collaboration and ability to give and receive feedback.
- Superior communication skills with all with an open and honest approach to communication.
