Head of Clinical Safety

Proclinical have a new vacancy at a pharmaceutical company working in research and development of highly effective and innovative medications. This job vacancy is for a Head of Clinical Safety to join their team at their office in Cambridge. The company is one of the industry's most well-known brands and specialises in R&D in 3 major areas; respiratory, oncology and inflammation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading international organisation and bolster a career in the field of Drug Safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Setting the strategic direction for delivery of clinical safety services provided to companies and partners.
• Delivering effective clinical safety and epidemiology strategy for the company's clinical development pipeline, including successful risk management and PASS strategies that achieve strong labels and successful approvals.
• Ensuring the safety of patients in our clinical development programs through optimal clinical trial design, conduct, and clinical safety monitoring.
• Leading the Clinical Safety team within Clinical and Non-Clinical Development.
• Ensuring effective and efficient clinical safety and epidemiology support for evaluation of potential new development opportunities.
• Implementing line management of an Epidemiologist.
• Overseeing vendors for outsourced clinical safety work.

Skills and Requirements:

• Qualifications: Medical Doctor.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of provision of successful Clinical Safety strategy and services.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
