Proclinical is seeking a Global Medical Publications and Communications Associate to be based in Oxford on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilties:

  • To act as primary liaison with external medical communication subcontractors, with the support of the Global Publication Managers
  • To prepare regular reports, as required by the GMPC team and the wider company stakeholder groups
  • To ensure awareness of current publication status by tracking progress of manuscripts from inception to publishing for assigned projects, and ensuring timelines are adhered to wherever possible
  • To attend, write up and follow up on actions from quarterly GMPC meetings for assigned therapy areas
  • To liaise with Medical Information Services and others to develop and maintain up-to-date bibliographies for assigned therapy areas
  • To maintain the GMPC SharePoint site, alongside the Publications Coordinator to share information with interested parties
  • To stay abreast of publication guidelines developments
  • To complete all the above activities within the framework and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and other systems in force within the company group
  • To perform any other activity as may reasonably be required from time to time
  • To triage requests from countries for publication support
  • To support in the development of the communication package for published posters and manuscripts
  • To support in the preparation of post-congress reports

  • To maintain a database of country-level congresses and journals
  • To assist the Publication Managers in tracking country-level studies to ensure studies are published in a suitable timeframe
  • To support the Publication Managers in their drive to encourage encore publications and in the organization and delivery of affiliate encore publications
  • To complete all the above activities within the framework and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and other systems in force within the company group
  • To perform any other activity as may reasonably be required from time to time

Skills and Requirements:

  • Graduate qualification or equivalent in a discipline relevant to clinical drug development with post-graduate qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, especially in the scientific field
  • At least 1 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/medical education environment
  • At least 2 years' experience in the publications field
  • Experience in the therapeutic area of interest
  • Experience of working in a matrix team with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Graduate qualification or equivalent in a scientific discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, especially in the scientific field
  • At least 1 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/medical education environment
  • At least 1 years' experience in the publications/writing field
  • Previous project management experience in coordinating the production and delivery of multiple documents
  • Experience of working in a matrix team with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences
