Proclinical is seeking a Global Market Access Manager, Oncology to be based in Paris on a permanent basis. The Global MA&P Manager Oncology position is a highly accountable thought and decision leader that works cross-functionally with other HEOR, Commercial, Medical and R&D leaders within oncology, impacting global development and strategies. His/her main objective is to develop and execute the Global MA strategic plans for Oncology for in-line and pipeline products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the overall market access and pricing strategy for new products (incl. risk sharing agreements, tendering)
  • Participate in the strategy of Clinical Development to optimize the future conditions of price & reimbursement (P&R)
  • Determine, from early phases, the economic potential based on the evaluation of R&D and licensing projects
  • Ensure market access strategy implementation in affiliates through development of adequate support (Core Value Dossiers, value propositions/messages etc.)
  • Respond to the specific needs of affiliates, such as the strategy of submission of P&R registration files aligned with the overall strategy, the relationship with national payers, and publication writing
  • Support affiliates in HTA and P&R submissions
  • Support the development of global tools to support value demonstration and communication
  • Present international workshops or seminars to the affiliates' market access network
  • Support development of launch and lifecycle plans
  • Support Global Product Strategy, Market Research, Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams in developing understanding of the pricing challenges
  • Monitor competitor pricing and communicate status to marketing teams
  • Establish strong collaboration with leaders from other internal functions including: research, clinical development, medical affairs, product strategy, supply chain, regulatory, business development, finance, and affiliates
  • Build and manage productive relationships with all company partner organizations
  • Work closely with potential Alliance partners to identify opportunities, improve existing tactics, and meet payer needs;
  • Ensure compliance with all internal, external and regulatory agencies and bodies
  • Seek early consultation and guidance from payers and HTA authorities as needed;
  • Support development of new tools, processes and governance and ensure successful implementation;
  • Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing/business administration, economics or related; further qualification MSc, MBA, PhD preferred
  • Fluent in written and verbal business English
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare/consultancy/research experience including:
  • 3+ years Global or European experience in pharma and consultancy with proven track record of evidence strategy development and execution;
  • Strong understanding of / experience in, working within the global/EU payer environment and drivers for reimbursement, value-based access, and how to integrate into drug development and commercial strategies;
  • Mastery of HTA processes and international pricing and reimbursement environments required;
  • Deep knowledge/scientific background in oncology;
  • Strategic thinker with superior analytical and project management skills;
  • High ethical standards;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills in working with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams, able to mobilize teams;
  • Ability to prioritize;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English;
  • Global/EU product launch experience required;
  • Travel required;
  • Strong leadership: Able to lead/drive relevant work-streams and exercise influence in decision-making processes across all levels of seniority and functional/geographical areas;
  • Best practice perspective: develops world-class best practices that create significant competitive advantage;
  • Organizational buy-in: the position requires building/maintaining relationships with internal customers;
  • Strategic thinking: Able to see and understand trends and activities and relate their impact to the "bigger" strategic picture/questions;
  • Strong analytical thinking: Capable of defining complex problems and identifying novel approaches and solutions. Ability to prioritize and resolve trade-offs between competing demands;
  • Passionate and dedicated to patient's well-being;
  • Ability to work collaboratively internally and externally;
  • Strong communicator: Both verbal and written, including presentation skills essential. Proven ability of successfully managing complexity across multi-functional stakeholders, and building strong relationships;
  • Innovative mindset: Able to develop and execute upon creative ideas in a collaborative manner, particularly as related to innovative HEOR approaches, value communication, product differentiation etc.
