An exciting opportunity for a Global Market Access Director has become available at an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients with cancer. Our team of passionate associates develops and commercialize safer and more effective oncology supportive care agents and oncology and immune-oncology therapeutics. The role will have a strong commercial focus as well and will offer the opportunity for a motivated professional to sharpen their commercial acumen, negotiation skills, thrive in a dynamic, start-up environment and expand their network with internal and external stakeholders. The role will have a strategic and tactical focus for both pre- and post-launched products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead implementation of pricing and market access strategies and tactics that maximize current company portfolio as well as future portfolio across international regions
  • Strategically guide and provide expert input into the preparation and submission of health technology assessment dossiers required by local authorities for inclusion of the company's compounds into local reimbursement or therapeutic programs
  • Support adoption of global market access tools / solutions to country-specific needs and ensure local adaptations are aligned to the global market access strategy
  • Provide specific input and support to affiliate interactions, submissions and negotiations with payers and HTA bodies
  • Working very closely with the marketing and medical affairs team, to develop product launch strategies through the identification and development of reimbursement tools.
  • Track record of developing value dossiers and successfully leading and gaining access/funding
  • Ability to jump-start and lead the cluster countries (to be discussed) for market access, health economics and pricing activities


Skills and Requirements:

  • Preferable: has 8-10 years of experience with health authorities, reimbursement agencies, hospital administrators and health care insurance companies.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of payers and their perspectives in key international markets, as well as trends in Pricing & Reimbursement
  • Experience in health economics, patient access and pricing required
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple cross functional projects required
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic insights into practical, well-grounded initiatives. Demonstrated successful experience in developing holistic, proactive and innovative market access strategies and cross-functional leadership of execution
  • Skilled in identifying early opportunities and threats in the market and creating solutions to benefit from opportunities and to minimize threats.
  • Has ability to identify key product advantages in the context of market requirements and provides key ideas for developing individual value stories around the company's product portfolio
  • Demonstrated successful experience in challenging status quo, driving towards next level practice through win-win collaboration.
  • Able to prioritize, keeping focus and developing actions plans to deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build good working relations both internally and externally
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hand-on execution and a high work capacity
  • Experience in working in a dynamic, start-up environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical expertise including meta-analysis. Mathematical modelling skills would be an advantage.
  • Fluent English. Mastering multiple languages would be an advantage.
  • Master's degree required. PhD level or above in health economics, epidemiology, PharmD highly preferred
