Formulation VP

An international pharmaceutical company is currently recruiting for a Formulation VP to join their office in Shanghai. The organisation is a global CMC CDMO that commercially manufacture late phase to launched products and apply innovative technologies as a sustainable means to reducing cost and meeting increasing environmental standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in formulation studies to assess new product feasibility. Develop formulations and manufacturing processes for clinical study, registration and commercial batches.
• Assist in the preparation of pharmaceutical development reports for submission.
• Interacts with Clinical/Toxicology group to establish strategy and provides supplies for defined studies with client's requirement.
• Accurate, timely, and quality performance of all formulation activities needed for product submission with clients.
• Development of technical skills to be able to develop various control release dosage forms beyond the traditional dosage formulations.
• Support objectives setting, performance evaluations and development planning discussions. May participate in recruiting process.

Skills and Requirements:

• Ph.D. in industry pharmacy (entry level) or Ph.D. in relevant pharmaceutical field with 10+ years pharmaceutical dosage formulation experience or M.S. degree in related pharmaceutical field (pharmaceutical chemistry, polymeric, organic, physical, biochemical) with 8+ years of directly dosage formulation industrial experience. Solid dosage experience preferred.
• Very good understanding of physico-chemical properties with pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and their relationship to formulation development.
• Must have good knowledge of cGMP requirements for product development, and familiar with China SFDA guidelines.
• Have designed and executed scale up studies and have participated in technology transfer for manufacturing batches.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
