ProClinical is seeking a European Clinical Specialist to join a medical device company that manufactures diagnostic prducts for surgical procedures. This is a permanent position based in Germany.

Job Role:

  • Provide clinical sales support for the fluorescent dye and a Fluorescence Imaging System for both existing distributors and new clients in new markets throughout Europe.
  • Support sales and clinical needs for key markets, including managing appointments with clinical staff, training staff on use of products, demonstration of the product and follow up with the customer after the demo completion and managing activities at key conferences/events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Sales support of the European distribution network in staff training & clinical trials where required.
  • Direct responsibility for the German & Austrian regions including:
  • Develop market overview and strategy for the direct sales channel in Germany
  • Prospect define and develop new accounts and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio to support a balanced sales funnel for growth.
  • Manage the overall sales process and coordinate, own and ensure completion of the necessary pre and post sales tasks. i.e. prospecting, demonstrations, evaluations, quotations, fittings, follow up, cash collection.
  • Maintain strong after-sales contact and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Supporting customers' and distributors' needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product & clinical knowledge of Diagnostic Green & competitive products.
  • Ensure knowledge base is maintained with up to date awareness of the latest clinical papers/publications.

  • Identify and evaluate specific key opinion leaders (KOLs) across Europe and develop relationships with key customers and opinion leaders assisting in planning and organizing the KOL activities.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Technical, Medical or Business Education (preferred at least a Bachelor Degree).
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical sales experience within the European healthcare sector (preferred surgical operating field).
  • Experience of European Channel Partner support.
  • Direct knowledge of European Healthcare systems and Hospital structures.
  • Experience in training and direct contact with surgeons.
  • Knowledge of complex selling processes such as tenders or contractual agreements
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Fluently in English
