Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a EMEA Associate Director, Medical Affairs Haemophilia position with a leading biotechnology company that focuses on developing therapeutics that treat rare genetic diseases, some of which affect as few as 1000 people worldwide. The organisation is seeking a successful applicant to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic global business and support its commercial presence across Europe, along with other regions.
The Associate Director will provide expert medical support to Senior Medical Director in the region, working with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, HEOR, Regulatory, R&D and Pharmacovigilance and other functions as required, and external stakeholders such as KOLs, HCPs, treatment centres, and others.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide input into the regional Medical Plan and support its execution to the highest standard.
- Medical review of promotional material to ensure maximum effectiveness while adhering to the company's high ethical standards and relevant Codes of Practice.
- Input into commercial programmes to ensure medical and scientific credibility and to maintain high ethical standards.
- Gate keeper for Independent Research proposals in the region - in collaboration with the Global and the EUMEA regional medical teams.
- Support generation of scientific publications.
- Assist HEOR in compiling pricing and reimbursement approval documents to ensure favourable perception of product.
- Support and advise Clinical Research group on site selection ensuring scientific and commercial validity of sites.
- Present to advisory boards, investigators and other KOLs to gain insights, identify knowledge gaps and support needs, and deliver scientifically credible message (where appropriate) to optimise support of the company's products and programmes.
- Present at training courses, sales conferences, regional meetings, etc to develop a high level of medical knowledge internally and externally.
Skills and Requirements:
- MD, MBBS, or equivalent.
- Full GMC registration and have the right to work in the UK.
- Industry experience in a similar role is essential, preferentially in orphan diseases.
- Demonstrate excellent medical affairs skills and ideally have working knowledge in the therapy area (Haemophilia).
- Proficiency in the ABPI Code of Practice is required.
- Outstanding presentation, written and oral skills are required.
- Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
- Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
