Drug Development Project Manager

Proclinical is currently seeking a Drug Development Project Manager for a privately-owned biopharma consulting firm. Successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, managing and supporting cross-functional compound-level project teams toward implementation of the strategic and operational plans and tracking progress to goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide professional program management for 2 or more complex development programs.
• Develop and support the maintenance of drug development plans.
• Maintain project actions, risks, decisions, and issues. Oversee management of project schedules.
• Review development projects with Senior Management.
• Manage project information for assigned projects.
• Support quarterly forecasts, manages scopes, timeline and financial changes through tracking variances at the program level.
• Work with relevant areas/teams to lead the development of strategy and project plan.
• Manage and track program progress as assigned on a continual basis, identify and track both cross-project and functional issues, scope issues at the project and program level, timeline and budget issues.
• Ensure timely, accurate and comprehensive project and program information is available to senior management.

Skills and Requirements

• BS or relevant field.
• MBA desirable.
• PMP certification desirable.
• 5+ years of pharma experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Experience and sound working knowledge of the drug development process.
• Awareness and familiarity regarding the execution of clinical trials, especially Phases II/III.
• Experience and knowledge to assist teams to prepare for regulatory interactions, submission experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
