Proclinical is working with a global healthcare company that is seeking a Director, Project Management Office to be based in Switzerland on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilties:
- Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of R&D cost reporting processes, systems and tools, in conjunction with Project Managers in PLM and with Controlling
- Facilitate efficacious and efficient execution of periodic R&D project cost reporting
- Manage R&D cost across the portfolio
- Contribute or co-lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of other state of the art R&D project management systems and tools
- Manage consolidated cross-portfolio R&D project cost (total > 100M€ per year)
- Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of R&D cost reporting processes, systems and tools, in conjunction with Project Managers in PLM and with Controlling
- The financial reporting aspects of the Divisional Financial Project Steering implementation within Biosimilars, incl. the processes and tools
- Cost baseline setting, tracking and reporting deviations vs. baseline
- Cost and resource forecasting algorithms, to facilitate forecasting and benchmarking
- Cost benchmarks, to support operations and performance management internally, and to liaise with industry peers and fora if and as relevant
- Facilitate efficacious and efficient execution of periodic R&D project cost reporting
- Manage R&D cost across the portfolio
- Ensure financial reporting processes and timelines are clearly articulated within PLM, so that PLM can deliver adequately, i.e. ensuring high transparency and quality, and within the expected timeframe
- Lead consolidation of cross-portfolio R&D cost reporting, to support strategic decision making by the Biosimilars Unit leadership. This includes periodic forecasting, contingent cost approval requests, actuals, accruals, working in close collaboration with the Project Management in PLM, and with Controlling
- Act as PLM Point of Contact for Controlling.
- Contribute to or co-lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of other state of the art R&D project management systems and tools, including
- Governance or Project Management related aspects of the Divisional Financial Project Steering implementation within the Biosimilars Unit
- Other R&D project management-related topics e.g. template plan, risk management process and tools
Skills and Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in business, management and /or science
- Project Management degree is an asset
- Strong background in finance in biopharma R&D, preferably in biosimilars
- Excellent organization
- Problem solving
- Entrepreneurship, decision-making
- Excellent communication, including strong listening, influencing
- Advanced project management
- Fluency in English essential, both oral and written
- Additional languages (German or French) are an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in biopharma industry, preferably in Biosimilars
- Knowledge of Financial Controlling in biopharma R&D, preferably in Biosimilars
- Demonstrated success operating in a project-driven global matrix organization with the full breadth of all functions contributing to drug development
- Knowledge of Portfolio and/or Project Management in biopharma R&D, preferably in Biosimilars
- People management
