Director of Business Development - Midwest

At Proclinical, we are seeking a hardworking and talented individual to fill the role of Director, Business Development - Midwest based in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will focus on acquiring and retaining high-value clients for clinical trials and will generate new business awards from the assigned client base.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and retain high-value clients and manage global opportunities with appropriate Sales partners.
• Adhere, respond, and/or maintain various administrative processes and tasks such as expense reporting, employee requirements, travel planning, and required training.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client decision makers and influences.
• Develop effective client strategies to optimize sales results and overcome competition.
• Provide input and oversee the Proposal/Opportunity process, in concert with the Clinical Trials Proposals, Operations, and Scientific Affairs staff.
• Provide routine input on status, progress, and results into appropriate Client Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Act as a client advocate and provider of market and competitive information to direct and enable Clinical Trial capability and process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

• BA in related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the use of salesforce.com preferred.
