ProClinical is currently seeking a Director of Access and Reimbursement Marketing for a Biopharmaceutical company located in Washington, DC. Successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of key access strategies and initiatives that are focused on the health care professional (HCPs) and other staff including but not limited to the Office Practice Manager, Business Manager, Purchasing Manager, Billing Manager, and Clinical Manager. This role will be responsible for the strategic decision making, market analysis, budget, and execution of access tactics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing commercialization access strategy for HCPs and other staff.
  • Developing promotional campaigns, messages, programs and sales tools for reimbursement support services.
  • Coordinating and managing the work of external strategic partners and internal departments including marketing, market research, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, payer marketing, corporate compliance, consumer marketing.
  • Selecting and managing all vendors/agencies successfully and effectively.
  • Leading projects through the medical, regulatory and legal review process.
  • Managing program budgets and develop metrics to ensure success of the promotional programs.
  • Engaging often with the field sales team to ensure creation and execution of high impact, high value marketing tools that address access barriers.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system (commercial and public) and an understanding of coverage and reimbursement, payer environment and formulary management.

Skills and Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, scientific or related field; PhD or MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive sales, payer, brand/access marketing experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry required, with 3+ years proven functional or team leadership experience.
  • 3+ years in access or payer marketing.
  • Track record and strong knowledge of successfully defining market issues and opportunities and developing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Outstanding marketing acumen and business aptitude.
  • Experience in leading launch products and/or new launch indications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required along with strong project/process management skills.
  • Strong vision to building out functional area within a fast-moving environment.
  • Travel requirement: Up to 30% including overnight stays.
