Development Engineer - Senior

Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for a Planner - Normal position with one of the most renowned and prestigious organisations in the world. This top ten organisation works across a range of industries from medical devices to pharmaceutical and consumer goods, operating in over 60 countries. This is an exciting opportunity to join their organisation in Switzerland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the design and development of instruments, as well as improvements and modifications of existing products.
• Participating in new product development project teams comprised of interdisciplinary members and who work closely with surgeons, sales and market development managers.
• Collaborating with the technical engineering office, generate product models, concept layouts, complete testing requirements and use CAD software.
• Maintaining awareness of surgical, clinical, and technological trends.
• Fostering collaboration and an exchange of information between internal, local, external, and foreign partners.
• Closely cooperating with internal departments, domestic, and international authorities as well as the conscientious preparation of the required documents; ensuring compliance with Medical Device Regulations (EU MDD, US FDA, JP PAL).

Skills and Requirements:

• A higher degree in engineering and would preferably have some practical experience in a regulated industry.
• Ability to communicate in both spoken and written German is required.
• Demonstrable Engineering Experience.
• Five years of experience in development MedTech
• Experience with and knowledge of business regulations /standards, particularly ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD/MDR/US FDA processes, and SOPs.
• Ability to understand and use complex and interlinked processes
• Experience in mechanical development.
• Knowledge of Pro-E CAD
• Good understanding of risk-based development.
• Verification testing experience.
• Good documentation practice.
• Fluency in English and German is mandatory.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks to meet priorities and timelines.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
