Proclinical is working with a world leader the field of in-vitro diagnostics that is seeking a Clinical Application Specialist role to be based in Reading on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, self-motivated, analytical, and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent communication and presentation skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and control the work of Field AS teams, to ensure that adequate support is provided for customers and colleagues.
  • Co-ordinate the professional and technical development of the AS team, to meet the demands placed upon them.
  • Set agreed objectives for the AS team and monitor the performance of individuals to achieve them.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the AS team, as required in the performance of their duties.
  • Arrange and attend team meetings.
  • Recruit and retain AS staff.
  • Manage Lab automation personnel and ensure that their development is structured to meet the demands placed on the teams.
  • Monitor their professional and technical skills and ensure that relevant training is initiated to achieve and maintain the required levels of skill and competence.
  • Provide on-site and office based technical support for customers both within the designated area and across other territories as required. Ensure that any necessary reports and documentation are generated and distributed.
  • Provide on-site product training for customers within the designated area and across other territories as required.
  • Participate in training for customers or members of staff at the company as required.
  • Provide technical support for pre-sales activities, such as on-site product presentations and demonstrations, and participate at exhibitions as requested.
  • Provide technical support for sales and marketing staff in the organisation and performance of on-site evaluations and trials.
  • Comprehensive reports to be prepared as required.
  • Ensure effective customer coverage within the designated territory and across other territories as required, by accurate identification of customer needs, efficient planning and placing relevant priority on visits.
  • Planning and activity reports to be submitted.
  • Contact details to be maintained within Impact.
  • Maintain product, technical and professional knowledge.
  • Attend company and external training courses and meetings.
  • Keep abreast of relevant scientific literature.
  • Be familiar with all relevant company technical manuals and literature.
  • Assist in any other duties within the company as requested.
