China Project Director

Proclinical is partnering with a multinational contract research organisation (CRO) to advertise a vacancy for a China Project Director. The organisation provides a wide range of clinical development services across all research phases and therapeutic areas and has been instrumental in the success of hundreds of Phase I-IV clinical trials throughout the Asia Pacific region. Based in Shanghai, this position is an excellent opportunity to work with an esteemed CRO that strives to set the benchmark for both business and clinical trial performance.

The Project Director will have a key role in shaping the business and reputation, acting as a highly regarded CRO. They will be directly accountable to our clients and executive management team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing client projects/program deliverables on time, within budget and scope, and with required quality.
• Overseeing the line management of assigned Project Managers.
• Working closely with Business Development to support proposal development together with developing client relationships.

To Apply:

• A graduate degree in a clinical or life sciences field.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
• Experience with line or matrix management.
• Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
• Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office, Concur, and Visio.
