ProClinical is advertising a vacancy for a Business Development Director with a global leader in Patient and Healthcare Professional (HCP) communication. This exciting company uses automated Digital Messaging and effective Patient Engagement at Point of Care to develop an unparalleled Pharmacy Network that reaches millions of parentis worldwide at Point of Dispensing.

Having recently attracted a third round of funding, the company is now seeking for the Business Development Director to join the team in Guildford. They will have a track record of success in Healthcare Data space and work closely with the senior management team to develop and execute against a personal sales plan which will enable them to achieve agree sales targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of the sales life-cycle.
  • Generating leads and fully explore all potential opportunities for new business.
  • Undertaking frequent travel throughout Europe to build close customer relationships.
  • Effectively communicating with specialist knowledge of the company's products and services.
  • Delivering compelling sales presentations, both remotely and face to face.
  • Gaining an excellent understanding of client requirements, tailoring proposals, and pitches to win the business.
  • Opening new accounts as well as growing and developing existing accounts.
  • Attending exhibitions, workshops, and other meetings to expand the network of customers and build the company profile.
  • Managing sales prospects on a customer database.
  • Providing market and competitor intelligence to support product innovation.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A degree-level education or equivalent in a science or mathematical subject.
  • Extensive sales experience selling into the Pharmaceutical sector, particularly data.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets on a sustained basis.
  • Proficiency in another European language a desirable bonus.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
