For our client, a global medical device company with focus on ophthalmology, we are looking for a Director Business Development - Distribution (f/m) to be based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Job Responsibilities:

Create detailed market-, channel-, competition-transparency and anticipate future market demands - with the goal to derive growth drivers
In collaboration with GDS team and other stakeholders define and implement sales strategies
Setup integrated sales concepts, specifically in the area of premium intraocular lenses
Create and implement a digital business strategy in the GDS environment
Support existing distributor network in all relevant areas, specifically in the area of customer targeting and upgrading the local sales process
Support end-users (f.eks. clinics) in order to optimize their processes, procedures and business
Organize regular distributor meetings, manage participation in regional conventions in cooperation with distributors
Maintain and optimize existing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders within territory
In collaboration with Global / Regional Marketing department, make sure that MarCom activities are rightly targeted and implemented
Accountable for marketing budget planning and execution
Setup relevant KPI and provide management with regular reporting

Skills and Requirements:

Degree in business administration/marketing/commerce or relevant qualifications
Minimum 5+ years' experience in sales role in ophthalmology/medical/ pharmaceutical industry
German and English fluency required
