Brand Manager

Proclinical is working with a global pharmaceutical company that is seeking a Brand Manager to be based in Brussels on a permanent basis. This position will play a key role in the Benelux Marketing Team as to manage the DE&OH products in the company's product portfolio with focus on the Systane brand. And this for all the different channels involved (optical, pharma & specialists). The overall purpose of this role is to grow the overall sales value for the DE&OH portfolio in a well-structured DE&OH oriented environment within the Vision Care business unit. This includes developing and executing appropriate marketing strategies to support all the different commercial channels.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represents the company's marketing team in regional category calls and creates strong alignment with the regional marketing counterpart of DE&OH
• Develops the annual brand plans for the DE&OH products for all the different channels (optical, pharma & specialists).
• Sets the right DME budgets for the brands and take an active role in the monthly follow up meetings.
• Manages the development of the local brand strategy for DE&OH products in alignment with the regional brand strategies.
• Influence EMEA for delivery of centrally developed materials that meet BNL objectives, to adapt as appropriate for the BNL market.
• Leads execution of the plans involving Trade Marketing and Professional Services, Sales teams, other internal functions like BPA and Logistics as well as external partners.
• Owns and executes local above-the-line and below-the-line marketing initiatives.
• Initiates the development of national integrated activities on the products and takes the lead in providing briefings to the marketing agency. Actively involves Trade Marketing, Professional Services, legal and Indirect Purchasing departments in these processes. In case of activities initiated by Sales teams, Trade Marketing or Professional Services, monitors the alignment with overall brand strategies and approves the development of materials and briefings to agencies.
• Owns local consumer research execution and provides inputs for regional or global strategy based on local consumer insights for the respective brands.
• Ensures proper campaign planning and timely publications of trade advertising and DE&OH product news together with the Marketing support colleague
• In alignment to the overall marketing planning, takes responsibility to provide proper internal communication of product news and marketing activities in sales meetings, ensures the appropriate marketing support for the brands is provided to the Sales teams (ppt in pitcher, POS,..)
• Monitors brand performance KPI's and share on an ongoing basis. Takes corrective action and identifies proactive opportunities as required.
• Ensures online product information is kept up to date on a regular basis involving the digital brand manager
• In addition, develops and executes customize marketing activities in cooperation with the Key Account Manager and Trade Marketing Manager
• Actively provides input and participates in the S&OP monthly meetings to reach the set targets to ensure product availability

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or similar by relevant experience and/or education
• A good knowledge of Dutch, English and French (both spoken and written) is required
• Senior Brand Management experience in the OTC business
• Salary - 75-90K + bonus + car + pension + insurances + lunch vouchers + other benefits
