This Biologics Scientist job is an exciting opportunity to join one of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies in their R&D team. This leading Swiss pharmaceutical company are currently looking to hire a Biologics Scientist to be based at their site in Basel. The company employ over 100,000 professionals and have operations in more than 140 countries worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will support downstream purification process development through design, execution, process transfer and troubleshooting.
- He/she will be responsible for executing laboratory-scale experiments related to late phase downstream process development and sampling logistics in support of this effort.
- This individual will work independently and under guidance to accomplish project goals within specified timelines.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to analyse process performance at pilot scale and to develop a wide knowledge of biologics manufacturing and the science behind the processes as well as the regulations that govern the industry.
Skills and Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have a BS/MS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related disciplines with some relevant professional training and experience in the area of protein purification.
- The demonstrated flexibility to work in a dynamic environment is essential.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, collaboration, and data management skills are helpful.
