Biobanking Lab Technician - Contract - Camden, NJ
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Biobanking Lab Technician.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role involves managing and maintaining laboratory systems, assisting with order fulfillment and participating in equipment maintenance schedules. A valid driver's license is required for participation in on-call rotations for equipment monitoring.
Skills & Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
The Biobanking Lab Technician's responsibilities will be:
- Become proficient in using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Biobanking Logistics Inventory Tracking System (BLITS)
- Complete online certifications for the Department of Transportation and Biohazardous Waste
- Assist with internal and external order fulfillment, requests, or shipments
- Prepare kit components
- Assist in filling liquid nitrogen tanks
- Assist in the storage and retrieval of biospecimens from tanks and freezers
- Deliver daily work orders to the Production & Research Laboratories
- Participate and assist with equipment preventative maintenance schedules
- Participate in on-call rotations for equipment monitoring
- Maintain a well-organized work environment
- Assist with the tactical operations of all areas of the Biobanking Logistics
