A new vacancy has emerged for a BD Director Role with an international CRO that prides itself in delivering a complete spectrum of clinical trial and consulting services throughout the lifecycle of development. Proclinical is pleased to announce this vacancy, which is based in this company's Munich-based office.

The BD Director will take responsibility for selling all services offered by the company, including Phase I-IV Clinical Trials, Consulting, and Health Economics & Outcomes services. They will identify, contact, and cultivate new clients, and serve as a client manager for existing clients. Furthermore, they will demonstrate a record of progressive achievement in current and previous roles, strategic thinking, resourceful networking skills, and an unrelenting desire to deliver solutions that meet our clients' challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting clinical trials for life-threatening diseases.
  • Attending medical conferences across Europe to identify opportunities for the company's clinical trials services.
  • Developing and maintaining new target account files.
  • Developing and generating new business development leads.
  • Working with targeted business development accounts to secure future business - explain, offer, and sell the company's services to complete sales transactions processes.
  • Researching service issues and ensuring satisfactory resolution of client concerns.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in either physical/life sciences, medicine, biology, or pharmacology.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • At least 2 years of successful sales experience, including account profiling, relationship development, needs assessment, and account closing.
  • Fluency in both English and German in both oral and written capacities.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, persuasion, and negotiation.
  • An ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • An ability to function effectively as a team member through remote relationships.
  • An ability to create and close business development opportunities.

To Apply:

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Fluency in oral and written English, along with proficiency in French or German.
  • Demonstrable commercial or business experience, with knowledge or experience in the clinical research environment a desired bonus.
  • Strong administrative capabilities.
  • Strong organisational and prioritising skills, with the capability to work in a flexible matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrable collaboration, persuasion, and communication skills.
  • The capability to work under pressure.
